Nearly all British children will be bereaved of someone close to them by the time they turn eighteen and, with COVID-19 pandemic and world humanitarian crises across news social media, are being exposed more anxiety about death than ever before. There is a growing awareness that grief education needs embedded into UK national curriculum help school pupils think talk prepare manage or support others. As it stands, although excellent teaching resources exist, there no requirement for schools cover grief, loss many have classes these difficult topics.
 
 This article provides narrative review research on in schools. We examine six key questions, summarising: evidence benefit from talking loss; studies when how integrate topics curriculum; ways overcome teacher training gap. Following lead child bereavement charities educational mental health research, we identify need coordinated approach young people offer evidence-based recommendations its implementation.
